The Versions And The Truth

Truth-Relative-Narrative-Absolute .....   

What's the truth? I am not talking about any event, Somethings happened on so and so dates with so and so people, No, not those things. What we say is one must not tell lies, fine, agreed, but what's the truth, that is up for debate, because as far as I can think and have experienced "Truth about something is, the narration of facts by the person you are talking to", for me that's the truth.

We preach and teach "Truth Always Prevails", nice lines I agree, but do these philosophies work in real life? Let's agree to disagree, from what I have observed when this works, we are left to say the "Truth Prevailed", with a sigh of relief, not because it happened, but because we do not have to fight for it anymore, at last something happened, and this brutal self suffocating reign is over. So now tell me, 'does truth always prevails, when it should? And when it does, it holds that value?

The process of prevailing is cruel and merciless, and also not free, after crushing your soul inside out it keeps asking for more, there is not the last installment. How foolishly we try to inculcate these habits in our kids, we teach them to speak the truth, when we know in our experience it's going to hurt them, it's going to cost them various opportunities and more or less will keep hurting them throughout until they mend their ways. By mending their ways I mean learn to lie situationally, you can call it diplomacy, but it's not exactly that but related. And this is what we should be teaching kids, ways in which they can get their work done.

The conclusion is, what we call Truth is Relative, not absolute, and the Narrative strength of facts decides what will be treated as "The Truth".

सत्य - सापेक्ष - कथात्मक - पूर्ण

सच क्या है? मैं किसी घटना की बात नहीं कर रहा, कि फला तारीख को फला व्यक्ति के साथ कुछ हुआ था और ये सत्य है,नहीं, बिलकुल भी नहीं। मैं उस सत्य की बात कर रहा हूं जिसके लिए हमें बचपन से सिखाया गया है कि झूठ नहीं बोलना चाहिए,ठीक है अच्छी बात है,ये तो सीखा दिया पर सच क्या है ये निश्चित नहीं है। "तथ्यों की कहानी जो सुनाने वाले पे अर्थ हेतु आश्रित हो, उसे सत्य कहते है,"मेरी समझ से सत्य की एक मात्र परिभाषा यही है।

हम प्रचार करते हैं , पढ़ाते हैं, सिखाते हैं कि " सत्यमेव जयते", अच्छी प्रभावशाली पंक्ति है,किन्तु क्या यह दर्शन वास्तविक जीवन में कोई प्रभाव डालता है? चलो मान भी लेते हैं कि ऐसा होता है,लेकिन जितना मेरा अनुभव है उसमें मैंने ये पाया है कि जब तक ये पंक्ति प्रभावी होती है तब तक हम ऐसी अवस्था में पहुंच चुके होते हैं जहां हम सिर्फ ये कहते हैं" सत्य विजयी हुआ" और चैन की सांस लेते हैं। ये चैन की सांस इसलिए नहीं कि सत्य जीत गया, अपितु इसलिए कि अंततः कुछ परिणाम आया,हमें अब और इसके लिए नहीं लड़ना पड़ेगा,और यह क्रूर श्वसरोध समाप्त हुआ । तो  कहिए क्या सत्य अपने उपयुक्त समय पर विजयी होता है? और जब तक यह होता है तो क्या इसका वो मान बचा रहता है?
लोग कहते हैं कि सत्य प्रताड़ित हो सकता है पराजय नहीं,पर वह प्रताड़ना किसी भी पराजय से कम कष्ट नहीं देती।

सत्य की विजय तक का मार्ग अत्यंत ही क्रूर और निर्दयी होता है,और यह मुफ़्त नहीं होता , आपके जीवन,और अंतरात्मा को पूरी तरह निचोड़ लेने के बाद भी इसका मुंह खुला ही रहता है।हम मूर्खों की तरह अपने बच्चों को ये सिखाते हैं कि सच बोलो और इसे हम सही संस्कार कहते हैं,किन्तु हम सभी अपने जीवन के अनुभवों से यह जानते हैं कि इससे उनका सिर्फ नुकसान ही होगा,कई सारी मुश्किलें बढ़ेंगी और कई सारे अवसर भी छूटेंगे,और उन्हें जीवन पर्यन्त इसके परिणाम भोगने होंगे,जब तक कि वे अपनी विचारधारा नहीं बदलते। विचारधारा बदलने से मेरा तात्पर्य यह कि समय और स्थिति के अनुसार झूठ बोलना सीख लेना, यह कूटनीति नहीं है, बस उससे मिलता जुलता है,और यही हमें सिखाना भी  चाहिए,ताकि बच्चों को यह समझ आ जाए कि अपना काम कैसे निकलवाते हैं।

निष्कर्ष यह है कि सत्य एक सापेक्ष सिद्धांत है,पूर्ण नहीं। तथ्यों की कथात्मकता ही निश्चित करती है कि हम किसे "सत्य" कहेंगे।
